2018 is proving to be a great year for Finnish DJ, songwriter, and record producer, Yotto. His new track “Hear Me Out” featuring Sonin and Laudic includes a remarkable vocal crescendo from Laudic. The song’s tension builds as the melody and vocals fade in, creating that sweet spot between melancholy and euphoria. The single is a sample of Yotto’s upcoming album Hyperfall.
Since his debut release of “Memento” with the Anjunadeep label back in 2015, Yotto has continued to gain a reputation in the deep house community. He’s collected three “Hottest Records in the World” awards and several “Essential New Tunes” awards. In early 2016, he was named an “Artist to Watch” by popular electronic music blog LessThan3.
Yotto’s comments on his new single “Hear Me Out”:
“Hear Me Out” is a big, dramatic record that I made with my good friends Sønin and Laudic. We usually just talk absolute nonsense and laugh at memes in the studio. That’s why I’m a bit confused how we ended up making such a melancholic record. I like it a lot though.
Drawing from his childhood favorites like The Chemical Brothers and Royksopp, Yotto has created his own signature style of deep house. A blend of dark and gloomy beats mixed with light, uplifting melodies. With this kind of raw talent and ambitious attitude, Yotto is an artist to look out for in 2018/2019. The “Hear Me Out” single is out now, here. Yotto’s album Hyperfall, will release on September 7th. You can pre-order the album here.
In addition, Yotto’s ‘Hyperfall’ North American tour begins late September. Details are on Yotto’s facebook and twitter. Purchase tickets here.
