A Safe Place
The boisterous festival takes place in Indio, California, located in Coachella Valley. Coachella is partnered with the local police and emergency services to create a safe and reliable atmosphere for each weekend. Festival-goers can be confident in the precautions set by the city of Indio to ensure the safety of all its attendees.
In light of recent publications highlighting the safety of the festival, OneEDM was allowed exclusive insight on how the community is preparing to provide a secure and comfortable environment for festival-goers.
After speaking with Emergency Services staff and the Indio Police Department, it is clear that they are doing everything possible to make sure that this event is as safe as possible.
Dan Marshall, City of Indio’s Public Information Officer, has the utmost confidence:
We prepare for this concert for an entire year. Every year it has been our goal to make some type of improvement and that is what we do. We make improvements every year and prepare for any kind of incident that could possibly happen. As a festival-goer, I would also like to know if I am safe. We would be remissent if we do not look at world events and not take caution. There are plans in place.
Along with Emergency Services and the local police department, American Medical Response will also be offering their services to further ensure the safety of all in attendance at Coachella 2018.
Wayne Ennis, Operations Manager for AMR, is also on the same page regarding preparation:
AMR does provide much of the onsite medical coverage for the Coachella and Stagecoach events. We work closely with Goldenvoice as well as other public saftey agencies to properly prepare our team.
The community of Indio ensures fans, vendors, and artists that their safety is of the highest significance while attending this unforgettable experience.
The Hype Is Real
Each year a multitude of festival-goers plan their entire spring season around attending one of the top festivals in the nation. Last year, the festival attracted 125,000 attendees each day to witness the incredible performances and experiences. The 2017 edition was also the first reoccurring festival ever to gross over $100 million.
Attendees can also expect the debut of something spectacular as Coachella is known to do so. Last year, the festival debuted the daytime-only Sonora tent, an instant hit attraction with fans. One can only imagine what the curators have in store for this year.
General Admission tickets are currently sold-out, but VIP passes and Purchase Plans are still available.
