Here is our interview with the Glitch Mob:
OneEDM: Please walk us through your creative process. Who does what when it comes to music production?
It’s all about the process. We start with an emotion or piece of a story, and then follow that. Experimentation, trying new things, exploration, learning about ourselves in the process. The music you hear is a result of that.
OneEDM: What are some of your upcoming projects?
There is a lot of stuff in the works, but nothing we can talk about just yet.
OneEDM: How did you guys meet? How did you get started making music?
We started as friends in the music scene. Music has always been a passion of ours, and it wasn’t until we decided to come together as a group that things really became concrete.
OneEDM: What has changed about the music industry since you began making music?
Things move faster now, streaming has changed the way people think about and consume music. But the big picture is still the same as it always has been; music connects us. It’s a way of life.
OneEDM: What do you like to do when you are not making music or touring?
We enjoy nature, travel, and cooking.
OneEDM: What has been your favorite venue to play? What are your dream destinations?
There’s no way we could pick a single favorite, but epic outdoor nature venues are the best.
OneEDM: In the songs “Bad Wings”, “Animus Vox” and “Mind of a Beast”, what do you use to come up with your melodies?
Creative flow, and playing in the moment.
OneEDM: Do you have any plans to make music in any other genres?
We don’t really think in terms of genre. We think more in terms of vibe and sound. All gates are open.
OneEDM: Are there plans for a remix album for the newly released See Without Eyes?
Yes… that’s on the way!
OneEDM: Who would you like to do a future collaboration with?
We would like to collaborate with Thom Yorke.
OneEDM: What are two tips you have to be successful in the music industry?
Success is about being devoted to what you love and what loves you back. Understand humility, discipline, and tell your own story.
OneEDM: Is there anything else you would like our readers to know about you?
