Delusive Relics’ music can only be described as a complex blend of Electronic, Synth Pop, Industrial and Dark Ambient influences. After spending the last 15 years in a Progressive Rock band, Frank Nik and Anis Oveisi have joined forces once again. Furthermore, we catch up with the duo to discuss what they get up to outside of creating music.
What are some of your other interests?
Frank: Besides music, I love playing video games and watching movies.
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Anis: Every job has its hectic moments. I can’t name specifically any of my jobs as the worst because there is always music that saves me.
What other sort of music do you listen to?
Frank: Rock and Metal Music
Anis: Rock, Prog Rock and Classical
Do you have a favourite book, if so, what?
Anis: It is a very difficult question to answer. I have lots of favourites in different genres. One of my most favourite genres is fantasy fiction novels and “Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka is one of my beloveds.
Who is your hero?
Frank: I’m not such a person who can say I have hero in my life. But I admire some people for what they have done and one of them is Nelson Mandela
What skill would you like to master?
Anis: If I get a chance, I would love to start learning a new language.
What piece of entertainment do you wish you could erase from your mind so that you could experience for the first time again?
Anis: There are many new entertainments that I haven’t experienced yet. So, I prefer to keep my experiences the way I remember them and have new experiences.
What city would you most like to live in?
Frank: I would love to live in LA.
What irrational fear do you have?
Frank: I am afraid of travelling by aeroplanes because I am afraid of heights!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Frank: It was from one my friends, he said “everyone has their own opinion, you should follow your heart and don’t get disappointed with other’s opinions”.
What’s the worst?
Anis: I don’t remember any bad advice.
Tell us 3 interesting facts about yourself?
Anis: I don’t know if these facts are interesting, but I know myself as an emotional, overachiever and a humanitarian.
If you owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?
Anis: To be honest, I have never thought of owning a restaurant. Generally, I would love to try traditional cuisines from all around the globe.
Who’s your weirdest celebrity crush?
Frank: unfortunately, or fortunately, I am not following any celebrities; so, I haven’t got a crush on any of them.
What would you be doing if you had never got involved with music?
Anis: I am an art enthusiast in any form or shape. I know if I wasn’t involved in music, I was involved with some other form of art; such as painting, poetry, theatrical arts and so on.
