It was announced late night yesterday that Future Sound of Egypt was making its return to the Great Pyramids of Giza on September 15th to celebrate the benchmark of hitting 500 episodes of the radio show. This comes as no surprise after FSOE450 made a successful debut at the man-made wonder of the world last year; however, the announcement comes with surprising news. Armin van Buuren will be taking part in FSOE 500, alongside Ruben De Ronde, Paul Thomas, and of course, Aly & Fila.
With Aly & Fila regularly featured in the A State of Trance celebrations around the world, things have finally come full-circle with ASOT boss Armin van Buuren performing for the FSOE Egypt celebration. This is big news for trance fans everywhere. Considering the occasion, many are wondering what kind of set Armin van Buuren will perform with a headlining set on one of the classic wonders of the world.
The annual world tour is to celebrate a successful year for the FSOE brand, having produced 50 episodes, launched a new Fables sublabel, and released a number of successful singles. With Egypt being FSOE’s home country, this stop is considered the main event being held in the country’s historical landmark. Last year’s event at the Pyramids of Giza boasted a lineup filled with the likes of The Thrillseekers, Ferry Corsten as Gouryella, Ahmed Romel, & more. Egypt is only one stop on FSOE’s celebratory romp with a spot at the Street Parade in Zurich, Switzerland confirmed, as well as more locations to be revealed later on.
If you wish to join in on this once in a lifetime occasion, tickets for FSOE 500 will be released sometime next week. You can view Aly & Fila’s historic set at FSOE 450 below. Follow Future Sound of Egypt’s Facebook page for more updates about the upcoming FSOE 500 events.
